Letter to Sue Ellery MLC, Minister for Education and Training. Government Support for Changes in TAFE

The Independent Scholars Association of Australia Inc. (ISAA) has a diverse membership and wide purpose that give ISAA a knowledge and capacity for informed judgment in vocational education and training matters.

TAFE should be a valued and essential part of Australia’s post-COVID economic recovery. The flow of economic benefits created by skilled and well-paid VET graduates is in jeopardy because of funding cuts to the TAFE system and because of a lack of overall coherent policy. Despite continued funding cuts and market failures in VET policies, TAFE continues to generate considerable ongoing benefits to the Australian economy.
